Property Funds
Property Funds can take many forms, but for most investors a collective investment vehicle such as a life fund or unit trust will give the necessary exposure to this asset class at reasonable cost with low risk.
Some private investors may wish to have a more direct involvement in property investment, either as a shareholder in a property development fund or as direct owner. MI Wealth Management has a network of contacts in the property field and will be pleased to assist.
Commercial property investment is cyclical like any other asset class, but the volatility (risk) is considerably lower than equities or commodities. Property also has a low correlation to other assets (correlation: the likelyhood - or not - for one type of asset to move in line with another) which is important in building a well-balanced portfolio designed to produce good positive returns through all market cycles and economic conditions.
